Troy Savings Bank Music Hall
- 2005

CHALLENGE:
The Troy Music Hall required a system that would provide great
sound for amplified acts, but that would not detract from the
characteristics that make it widely recognized as one of the top
acoustical venues in the world.
SOLUTION:
TMH and Talaske sound designers needed someone
they could trust to execute a plan and provide the finishing touches
to help hide the loudspeakers in this historic venue. Dalbec developed
custom loudspeakers (box fills) to retain the architectural character
of the room and special rigging to minimize their profile. Dalbec
also met an aggressive installation timeline. The vast majority
of the work was completed during the Music Hall's regular season,
requiring a fully functional system to remain in tact, requiring
constant striking, re-striking, and cleanup. Dalbec worked with
Talaske to install, program, and test computer controlled EV amplifiers
and a one-touch simple use system.
